The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it whotuit a pboerlm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Azanmig huh? Yaeh, and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt!
Could you read it?  Crazy huh?  I'm not encouraging horrible spelling, but this does prove a valuable point.  We can read this easily because we've got a large bank of sight words.  We don't "decode" words much anymore.  We truly do see the word "as a whole".  Keep rockin' those sight words this year and throughout the summer.  The more words that your child can recognize instantly, the better off they'll be in future grades!
