Be sure to get some Oreos in the house this week! They just might help you ace this Friday's spelling test. Our spelling skill for the week is the "or" sound. Making real life connections to the things your learning is always a good idea. Talk to your child about what sound this cookie's name starts with. You can even look on the actual cookie to see it! I tell the kids that my favorite cookie is Oreos just so I can get them to remember the "or" letter team. (I actually love chocolate chip the best...hint hint) Just kidding! But seriously start looking for chances to make real life connections to the learning. It will stick with them forever.
