This clip talks about the trouble kids have with "flipping" their lowercase b's and d's around. Have you seen it before? brat becomes drat...boom turns into doom...dill changes into bill. You get the idea. We have a little rhyme in class to help us remember how to make each of these tricky letters.
for "b" we say...."The bat before the ball" (first you draw your stick...the bat. Then, you draw the circle...the baseball)
for "d" we say...."The doorknob before the door" (first your draw the circle...the doorknob. Then, you draw the stick...the door)
Use this language to help correct your child when you see them struggling with their b's and d's.
