We're so smart it's "Shocking"...literally
Yesterday in class everybody was accidentally shocking each other. We decided that this was a pretty interesting thing that was happening. Why are tiny lightning bolts flying out of our fingers?!?!? Are we turning into super heroes that possess the power of controlling electricity? This seemed like a question worth researching. I asked the kids to look into it and I promised them that I would too. Here's what I found. A little video from "Bill Nye the Science Guy". It explains the concept pretty well. There are also several experiments online that you can find to help explain static to kids. Enjoy!
