I want to use the blog to share some of the different things we do in class. This is a little game that we play called "Power Towers". You could easily make this game at home if you'd like. Take a box of "Dixie Cups" and write math facts or sight words on the bottom of each cup. Then take an empty Pringles canister to use as your storage container. The kids love making tall towers or castles out of their cups. The only rule is...before they can add it to the tower they have to read the word or add the math fact on the bottom of the cup. I've got several sets. Spelling words, adding and subtracting are the games that I've made. Anyway, make your own set for a fun way to practice those "not so fun" skills.
